Scoring Multipliers
Score = (Authority + Intent [+ ClinicalBonus]) × Multimodal × [Biomarker] × [Deprioritize]
Authority — measures academic weight. Computed as (h_index × H-mult) + (log₁₀(citations+1) × Cit-mult). A researcher with h=20 and 2 000 citations scores roughly 40 + 18 = 58 authority points (at defaults).
Intent — measures topic relevance. Each matched keyword carries an intent score (1–5) assigned by the keyword classifier. Scores are summed per keyword bucket, capped, then totalled across all buckets.
ClinicalBonus — flat points added to Intent when the Clinical/Neurodevelopmental bucket scores > 0. Rewards researchers seeking objective biomarkers.
Biomarker × — applied when a researcher has both a clinical bucket and at least one Biomarker Tech bucket active. Stacks on top of the Multimodal multiplier.
Deprioritize × — applied when any of the researcher's concepts match the deprioritize keyword list. Collapses the final score by the configured multiplier (e.g. 0.1 = 90% reduction). Use to suppress off-domain researchers without fully excluding them.
Authority += h_index × this. Raises weight of academic seniority.
Authority += log₁₀(citations+1) × this. Logarithm dampens outlier citation counts.
If citations / h² exceeds this ratio, the researcher is flagged as a Rising Star (high citations relative to h-index).
When Rising Star fires, authority base is multiplied by this value before adding intent.
Max intent points that can accumulate in a single keyword bucket. Prevents one dominant topic from drowning out the rest.
How many distinct keyword buckets must score > 0 for the multimodal bonus to apply.
(Authority + Intent) is multiplied by this when the multimodal condition is met — rewards cross-domain relevance.
Flat intent points added when the Clinical/Neurodevelopmental bucket is active. Applied before multipliers.
Extra multiplier when clinical + a Biomarker Tech bucket are both active. Stacks with Multimodal mult.
Score multiplier applied when any deprioritize keyword matches. Set to 0.1 to collapse animal/off-domain researchers to near-zero.
Biomarker Tech Buckets — bucket names that qualify as “tech” for the biomarker bonus

Deprioritize Keywords — concepts that reduce a researcher's score by the Deprioritize multiplier
